Oh my how we love this idea – Mason Jar Cakes.
We got the idea to write this post from Belle of the Kitchen. She created this great rainbow cake for her husband in a mason jar. What she did was take a white cake mix and mix it up then divide it into 5 bowls added food coloring to each bowl. Then she coated a mason jar with cooking spray and began layering the cake mix by color into the mason jars. Added some water to a baking dish. Placed the jars in the dish. Baked at 350 for 30-35 minutes.

These Mason Jar Cakes got us thinking that these would be a great kids party favor. You could send each child home with a cake. Now that’s an inexpensive and cool idea for a party favor. We gathered some other cute mason jar cupcakes and cakes that you could use for your next kids party.
